W L Watson & Sons is an award winning family business which was established in 1924.   Our dedicated team of highly skilled and qualified stonemasons is recognised as one of the country’s leading stone masonry contractors. Areas covered, but not limited to, include Fife, Tayside & Angus, Perth, Dundee, Arbroath and Montrose.

Longstanding experience of masonry techniques enables us to carry out all work to an exceptional standard. We also have stone cutting machines which enables us to progress programming to suit client's and contractor's requirements at short notice and also allows for ordering in bulk direct from various quarries.

We provide a full stone restoration, stone matching and lime pointing service. Our saw facilities enable us to produce architect/client specificied mullions, cills, gate piers, coping and capping stones, fire slips, hearths and mantles. We also stock a selection of reclaimed stone.

We template, manufacture and install granite, marble, slate and quartz kitchen worktops, bar tops and vanity tops. All our materials are sourced direct from U.K. suppliers and cut to order in our workshops. A large range of samples is available.

We have developed an impressive portfolio of hand carved stone fireplaces and hearths. From prestigious hotels and country estates to private homes. A full design, templating, manufacturing and installation service is provided.

We have worked on a number of prestigious projects throughout Scotland and the U.K. and have received two Europa Nostra and three European Architectural Heritage Year Awards. We were involved in the construction of houses at Westburn Lane, St Andrews which was recently a R.I.B.A. Best Building in Scotland Award winner and Ladies Lake, winner of the Dundee Institute of Architects Best New House and Best Use of Stone Awards.
